Detectives in Togas by Henry Winterfield

Detectives in Togas happened in Rome in the Roman Empire. It happens to the pupils of Xanthos school: Mucius, Caius, Rufus, Publius, Julius, Flavius, and Anonius. The mystery is who really did write "Caius is a dumbell" on the temple wall in Rufus' handwriting, and how did he do it? The pupils are trying to prove Rufus is innocent because they are his friends. They all figured it out by finding lots of clues.

It is a good book. It is a true story.* There is nothing to dislike. I really like the first and last parts; they are very funny. Antonius always expects the worst.
